Fountain Institute extend a warm invitation to our Annual Ramadan Event 1445 – “Preparing to meet the most merciful.”

Join us for insightful reflections by Shaykh Thaqib Mahmood and Shaykh Tanveer Hussain. The evening will culminate with uplifting Nasheeds and Duas, setting the tone for the approaching month of Ramadan.

This year’s theme revolves around the profound ayah from Surah Waqiah verse 64: “Is it you who make them grow, or We?” Delve into the spiritual significance of this verse with our esteemed speakers.

The event is thoughtfully organized for both brothers and sisters, ensuring segregation. To enhance your experience, we’ll provide tea and snacks for everyone to enjoy.

Shaykh Thaqib Mahmood

Shaykh Thaqib has travelled to numerous places over the last 10 years in pursuit of sacred knowledge. This began at several deen intensives with Shaykh Hamza Yusuf from whom the impetus to his seeking sacred knowledge belongs. After travelling to Morocco he went to Hadramawt to the village of Tarim where he sat at the feet of the spiritual Masters and jurists including Habib Umar bin Hafiz.

He travelled to Damascus a number of times and studied under Shaykh Muhammad Darwish, Shaykh Abdul Wahaab Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi, Shaykh Adnan al Majd, Shaykh Maree al Rashid and Shaykh Khalil al Sabbagh. His travels also led him to Mauritania to study with Murabit al Hajj, to Liverpool to study with Shaykh Siraj Ud-Din and to Istanbul at the feet of the gnostic and friend of Allah, Shaykh Mahmud Effendi; and studied with Shaykh Ehsaan Hojah and Shaykh Muhammed Ameen Siraj.”

Shaykh Thaqib has been teaching on Sacred Study for 12 years and part of the Fountain teacher for now over 22 years.

Shaykh Tanveer Hussain

Shaykh Tanveer Hussain studied the Islamic sciences in Syria for eight years, where he learnt with a number of scholars and graduated from Ma’had al-Fath al-Islami. He is an imam at the High Wycombe Mosque, and scholar-in-residence of the Certificate for Islamic Learning (CIL) programme in the city.


The course has been designed to have at least 1 day month in person which will be Saturday 2nd March 6pm – 8pm.
