Palestine Orphan Camp Appeal
The Gaza Orphan Camp project aims to set up and establish a camp for orphans in the north of the Gaza strip, providing a safe and organised living space.
In partnership with Al Medina 313.
Project Background
Since October 7th 2023, at least 61,709 Palestinians have been killed and 111,761 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza. Access to basic needs for Palestinians has been severely restricted and the Palestinian people are experiencing a humanitarian crisis. The Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) operating in Palestine has been defunded, reducing already limited and insufficient funding for Palestinian aid from the international community at large. Home to more than 2 million Palestinians, Palestinians rely heavily on food aid to survive.
Despite the presence of a ceasefire agreement, there is critical damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, religious & cultural hubs, agricultural sites and medical facilities as a result of Israeli attacks on Gaza for more than 15 months.
Our teams have witnessed first-hand the difficulties of living in Palestine, and yet in the face of increasing adversity, the spirits of our Palestinian brothers and sisters remain resilient and strong. In these times of need, Fountain Institute with Al Medina 313 are delivering crucial aid and assistance to survivors in Palestine.
Project Delivery
Al Medina 313 are distributing emergency aid, including food packs, hot meals, baby milk & nappy packs, cash assistance, psychosocial support, doctors & nurses support, hygiene kits, flour, fresh vegetable packs, water tanks, medical aid & tent shelters for the displaced. We are providing aid and assistance to Palestinians
inside Gaza.
Our teams are continuously monitoring and assessing the needs on the ground and are responding in kind. Due to the emergent nature of the situation, we are responding swiftly and providing aid to the Palestinian people in the ways they need it most.
