Dar Us Salamah – The Prophetic Hub
About us
The Fountain Institute has been serving the Luton community for over 25 years. Operating entirely on a voluntary basis, our dedicated team has consistently provided Islamic education and guidance within the town. We offer both long-term and short-term courses, as well as monthly open events for brothers and sisters.
Over the years, we have had the honour of hosting some of the world’s leading scholars in Luton, enabling our community to benefit from their knowledge and experience. In response to the growing needs of our community, we have also developed additional initiatives — including Zakat projects — to provide further support and assistance where it is most needed.
What is the Prophetic Hub

A building in the town of Luton, from which all our running services will be delivered: courses and programs imparting Traditional Islamic Knowledge that engages with the narratives of the age. Enlightened Minds Nursery, an inclusive childcare facility. A Health and Wellness Centre that promotes physical and emotional well-being drawn from prophetic medicine and traditional approaches to health that aim to treat the underlying causes of ailments versus the symptoms. Finding Faith will be a dedicated space where new Muslims can find support, guidance, and community. A Sunnah Sports Centre will provide various sports and fitness activities inspired by the Messenger of Allah’s example and his advice, namely swimming, wrestling, horse riding, archery, and other activities. Clinics and Workshops, where professional services are offered free to the community on areas of health and legal advice.
A place from where the Fountain’s Zakat program will distribute Zakat within the local community. A Heritage Centre that will showcase vital historical and contemporary Muslim contributions to the world in arts, culture, science, and scholarly works. A youth club, Impact, will provide a safe and wholesome environment for youth ages 12-18 — a comprehensive Library and prayer space. Lastly, Lady Aminah House will be a designated space for women to hold meetings, gatherings and social events and be provided expert advice on personal and social challenges they face.
Our Vision
“To create a sacred space that exemplifies the prophetic ways and fosters holistic community development. Our mission, spanning two decades, has been to offer religious guidance and to establish and sustain a multitude of educational and social initiatives. With the Prophetic Hub, we aim to unite these services under one roof, facilitating their expansion to serve a larger segment of our community. Our ultimate goal is to take on the responsibility of nurturing the next generation, following the prophetic footsteps. We aspire to craft a sacred space that serves as a model for embodying the virtues and teachings of the Prophet saw. This space will allow individuals draw nearer to their Lord, discovering their true potential and fostering a strong connection to the divine.”
Services at the Prophetic Hub
For over 25 years, these services have been delivered from various rented venues across the area. However, due to ongoing challenges and limitations associated with hiring different locations, it has become clear that we now require a permanent building of our own. This will not only reduce the significant costs spent on rent, but also allow us to expand and improve our services.
Having our own premises will enable us to schedule more classes for adults, establish a dedicated madrasa for children, develop structured youth programmes, and introduce many additional initiatives to better serve our community. Please review the services we currently provide below.
Our Timeline Target 1million
Our target is to raise £1 million to secure a permanent building that will serve as a dedicated home for our services. These are not new initiatives we plan to introduce, but well-established programmes that have been running successfully for many years. For example, our adult education programme alone has been operating for 17 years and supports hundreds of students annually.
This building will provide stability, sustainability, and the opportunity to continue growing services that our community already relies upon.
