Sacred Footsteps is an initiative designed to reconnect hearts with the Creator through the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world. It offers a unique blend of outdoor adventure and spiritual reflection, guiding participants on journeys through mountains, forests, and winding trails. Along the way, we engage in climbs, treks, bushcraft, and nature walks, all thoughtfully infused with Islamic learning, remembrance, and moments of reflection.


Each step on this path serves as a gentle reminder of the sacredness of creation, encouraging participants to not only strengthen their bodies but also purify their hearts. Through mindful observation of the world around us, we are invited to pause, reflect, and cultivate gratitude for the countless blessings bestowed upon us. Beyond the physical and spiritual growth, Sacred Footsteps fosters a sense of brotherhood and community, where shared experiences in nature become a medium for deeper connection with Allah. In every breeze, every rustling leaf, and every panoramic view, we discover serenity, inspiration, and a renewed appreciation for the harmony of the world He has created.

Join us for an inspiring men-only adventure as part of our Sacred Footsteps initiative — a journey that combines physical challenge with spiritual reflection. On Sunday, 26th October, we’ll be ascending Mount Snowdon to raise funds for The Prophetic Hub, in shā’ Allāh. This one-day climb will begin around Fajr and conclude later in the day, offering not just breathtaking views but a chance to purify the heart through remembrance, effort, and brotherhood. Each step is an act of sadaqah and a reminder of the sacred connection between creation and the Creator.

Practice seeks to implement that knowledge in all aspects of our lives. Sincerely applying knowledge facilitates the soul to acquire virtuous characteristics and move beyond its vices and capricious element

Realisation

The soul becomes receptive to realisations concerning God’s oneness, majesty, beauty, and how creation is an ongoing sign of Divine favour. This witnessing is highlighted in the Prophetic statement,‘Excellence is to worship Allah as though you see Him. If you do not see Him, He sees you.

Event Itinerary

7:00 AM – Depart from Luton Meet at the designated point and depart promptly. Group reminder & niyyah before setting off.
11:00 AM – Arrive at Snowdonia National Park Short rest and refreshments. Safety briefing, duʿā, and reflection before the climb.
12:00 PM – Begin Ascent of Mount Snowdon Group climb at a steady pace with reflection and dhikr stops along the way.
3:30 PM – Reach the Summit (in shā’ Allāh) Group duʿā, Qur’ān recitation, and time for reflection. Enjoy the view and a light snack at the peak.
4:30 PM – Begin Descent Gentle descent with group reflections and brotherly conversation.
7:00 PM – Return to Base Closing reminder and brief rest after the climb.
8:00 PM – Depart for Birmingham Journey toward Birmingham for dinner and refreshments.
9:30 PM – Meal Stop in Birmingham Group dinner, relaxation, and shared reflections on the day’s journey.
10:30 PM – Depart for Luton Begin the return journey home.
12:30 AM – Arrive Back in Luton (approx.) End of journey. Time for gratitude, duʿā, and rest.

What to bring

Essential Equipment:

  • Sturdy, well broken-in walking boots (not new)

  • Warm, layered clothing (including a base layer, fleece, and waterproof outer layer)

  • Waterproof jacket and trousers

  • Hat, gloves, and a neck warmer or buff

  • Small backpack to carry your items

  • 1.5–2 litres of water

  • Packed lunch and high-energy snacks (e.g. sandwiches, fruit, nuts, energy bars)

  • Personal medication (e.g. inhaler, EpiPen, pain relief)

  • Fully charged mobile phone (signal is limited in some areas)

  • Torch or headlamp (with spare batteries) – sunset is around 6 PM

  • Spare socks and a dry layer for the return journey

Optional but Recommended:

  • Walking poles

  • Lightweight sit mat or small towel for breaks

  • Camera / power bank

  • This is a strenuous walk – please ensure you’re in good physical condition.

  • Check the weather forecast before departure and dress appropriately.

  • Stay with the group at all times – do not wander off or take shortcuts.

  • Listen to and follow the instructions of event leaders and guides.

  • Pace yourself and take regular breaks; hydration and nutrition are key.

  • If you feel unwell or unable to continue, inform a leader immediately.

  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

  • Respect the mountain environment – take all litter back down with you.
